The
Kaleidoscope Bag Project has been developed by the Zervas Respect
for Human Differences Committee. Each classroom will have a
grade-level- specific bag filled with books that can be read and
discussed with family members, games, activities, music, and recipes
from various cultures. Families can sign up to take home a bag for a
week at a time.
The bags are intended to strengthen connections among our school
population and build an atmosphere of understanding and respect for
cultural, racial, ability, and family structure diversity.
Parents are encouraged to choose from the variety of books and
activities included in the bags.
Kaleidoscope Bags offer opportunities for families to support the
Newton Public Schools' value of Respecting Human Differences.
